Squeeze
SASAMI ·2022
"I didn't really know much about this artist until I heard a song on a local Tucson station. This album is really pretty incredible. It has some pretty great straightforward songwriting, kind of a little bit reminiscent of the 90s but also digs into some new metal sounds, and it was one of my favorite records from 2022."

Tomorrow's Harvest
Boards of Canada ·2013
"Ambient-ish adjacent beat sort of music that you can just kind of zone out to, and I feel like everybody has one Boards of Canada record that they get really into and know really well."

Laughing Stock
Talk Talk ·1991
"At the end, the last two records, Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock, it all kind of melts and dissolves and like the songs are beautiful but it's like they're just performances and parts of performances coming in and going out. I think they recorded it over like a period of a year and brought in dozens and dozens of musicians just to jam with it without really knowing what the song was."

The El-Aylien Tapes
Ras G ·2016
"Yeah, so this is a compilation of cassettes and seven inch appearances and stuff. Yeah, it should be good. This guy considered himself an alien and a bunch of like cosmic overtones for all his beats and stuff, but it's all just good stuff to listen to."

The Red Shoes
Kate Bush ·1993
"this was the last one that she did before she took a step back criminally underrated... in my opinion like one of like the great breakup albums... this album it gets overlooked shouldn't be so good."

She Used to Wanna Be a Ballerina
Buffy Sainte-Marie ·1971
"I have listened to this one I like it a lot... I think it is like maybe her attempt at like the transition from like the folk stuff to the rock stuff... I do love it very much I highly recommend it and also just like Buffy Sainte-Marie in general is a total badass."

Pyramid Electric Co.
Jason Molina ·2004
"This record seems very exciting because according to the back that I'm looking at right now it's just written and performed by Jason Molina, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and piano. His whole catalog has a huge range of just him and a guitar, full big country band, and this is like yeah this is gonna be a real small record which is cool."
