“Radiohead, like a lot of people, has literally been one of my favorite bands since Nikki made me go see them at a club in England. 'In Rainbows' is my favorite but this is getting up there; this thing is so gorgeous and so insanely beautiful and Radiohead records take so long to absorb and it's almost like work.”
A Moon Shaped Pool
Radiohead
A Moon Shaped Pool is the ninth studio album by the English rock band Radiohead. It was released digitally on 8 May 2016, with a retail release on 17 June 2016 through XL Recordings. It was produced by Radiohead's longtime collaborator Nigel Godrich.
“There's one song on it called 'Present Tense.' It's just this amazing chord progressions in there that switch and do all these crazy things, and it just trips me out. I love that song I love this record. Can't wait to get to know it more.”
“I was under strict instructions from my much better half to procure the latest Radiohead album, 'A Moon Shaped Pool.' Sort of like Springsteen, I've always respected Radiohead, never gotten really close, but my better half Jessica has... by the time the second one was done, I must say that I was starting to drink the Kool-Aid too, and really get into it.”
“Radiohead is my favorite band. I can safely say that. Especially after this record. 'A Moon Shaped Pool' is their newest record and they are existing now as individuals that play together rather than a group. It's not a rock record, and it's not a jazz record, it's not a pop record, it's an experimental record and I love how mature and focused, and how each individual shines as a member of the group this time.”
