Black Messiah
D’Angelo and The Vanguard ·2014
"This is a record I'm super excited about. It's D'Angelo... the sounds on this record for like a modern, you know, kind of R&B funk record just absolutely amazing amazing tracks and I'm really happy to have it on vinyl."

"This is the Boswell Sisters. They are, you know, sort of predated the Andrew Sisters. Just a vocal group. Super tight vocal harmony. Fun little side note about the Boswell Sisters: the first half of their recording career, they recorded on microphones that were not electrically powered. So, it's actually just physical, you know, filaments feeling the vibes. This is ultimate vibes music, all recorded on 78s, no electricity."
