"I really like this record a ton... the production sounds so good but the whole album sounds like a little underbaked, which is something that I love... the guitar work on it is really awesome."Watch this moment

Every quote links to the moment in the episode."my first pick is this Trail of Dead, Tao of the Dead record. I know everybody really loves Source Tags and Codes, but I kind of think this one is way better. It's just a rocking album, it's super progressive, like heavy, a lot of cool tones and energy."Watch this moment
"These Are the Vistas by The Bad Plus is a Canadian jazz trio. They do a lot of covers, and if you told me a Canadian jazz trio that covers Nirvana, I'd be like, no thank you, but then when you hear it, I mean they're incredible."Watch this moment
"Mr. Gone is just like an incredible influence on my musical appreciation and sort of being in awe of like technical facility. Obviously, as a bass player, Jaco is huge for me. This album has like some crazy cuts like Punk Jazz and River."Watch this moment
"The Nerve Agents' Days of the White Owl is probably the first contemporary punk record that I got into. This was the first record that like wasn't a throwback to me... this album and this band are really neat and important to my childhood."Watch this moment
"Yes, Close to the Edge is like super nostalgic record. This was my go-to sleep record for like a few years... it has one of my favorite guitar solos on it."Watch this moment
"Chad Baker sings, I found this awesome picture disc of it... he has my favorite voice; if I could sound like any singer, it would be Chet Baker. This is like my cozy Sunday record I put this on with my wife and my kid and we have a nice little Sunday."Watch this moment
"This album, Mahogany Brown, just reminds me of spring to me 'cause like Tech Fest is like every year, it's a huge thing in the city... it just is very fitting and it's like dancey and I don't know, just makes you want to go roller skating."Watch this moment
"Zulu, A New Tomorrow, really excited about. This band's really cool, a lot of energy live, really good songs, really, really cool sequencing on this record, beautiful artwork."Watch this moment
"the X, this was like their first record in like a really long time. The reason I grabbed it, Wayne White did the cover and I love Wayne White."Watch this moment
"This is like the first Steely Dan album I ever heard. I was immediately drawn to it... the song 'Book of Liars' is in particular like a highlight on this."Watch this moment
