Redd Kross

American Rock Band 7 albums picked

Redd Kross is an American rock band from Hawthorne, California, who had their roots in 1978 in a punk rock band called the Tourists, which was started by brothers Jeff and Steve McDonald while Steve was still in middle school. With the addition of friends Greg Hetson on guitar and John Stielow on drums, the band's first gig was opening for Black Flag. The band changed their name to Red Cross in 1979, and in 1982 changed the spelling due to threatened legal action by the charitable organization International Red Cross.

Nine Lives
REO Speedwagon ·1979
"I picked up this hot slab of REO Speedwagon with the hot single 'Give Me Head Till I'm Dead.' It's like it's post-Glam easy listening."

James Taylor
James Taylor ·1968
"I got this the first James Taylor album that was released on Apple Records. Now I've never actually heard this record but I hear reports it's like overproduced, so I think it's a late 60s orchestrated British pop sound that I actually really like."

Centipede Hz
Animal Collective ·2012
"I've tried this band many, many times, Animal Collective, and I've been here I think what would be considered a disc by most Animal Collective fans that this record's more mainstream and always a good song for me."

King Tuff
King Tuff ·2012
"I thought I would try out the new King Tuff. These kids played with us recently at FYF Festival and I've only heard one song off of it, but it's a lot of fun."
