When Dream and Day Unite is the debut studio album by American progressive metal band Dream Theater, released on March 6, 1989, through Mechanic/MCA Records. James LaBrie replaced Charlie Dominici as the lead vocalist on all subsequent albums.

“Horrible, horrible Dream Theater. They're friends of mine. This would be the first album; it's not my favorite, but I picked it up because it's kind of difficult to find these 90s pressings on vinyl.”
